🔬 Scientific Literature

“In this study on menopausal symptoms, the group with neroli inhalation showed lower diastolic blood pressure, and improved pulse rate and serum cortisol and estrogen concentrations These findings indicated that neroli essential oil helps relieve menopausal symptoms, reduce stress, increase sexual desire, and reduce blood pressure (Choi et al., 2014).”

“Improvements in vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes are likely due to neroli’s activation of 5-HT neurotransmitters which are involved in regulating body temperature. The ability of neroli to reduce stress levels and stimulate the endocrine system can be due to the abundance of limonene which elevates sympathetic nerve activity by activating H1 receptors. Another study that investigated the effects of neroli oil on endometriosis found its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiangiogenic properties to significantly disrupt chronic processes [2]. Treatment with neroli oil showed a significant decrease in MMP-1 level and a significant increase in TNF-a and VEGF levels in the endometriosis group, resulting in decreased inflammation and tissue remodeling signs (Canday et al., 2023).”
